George Jepson (Co-founder)
George has spent 35 years in healthcare in senior management positions. Over this time he has undertaken COO and CEO roles within Australia, New Zealand and over the last 9 years in the UAE.
Most of this time has been spent in managing change in St Vincent’s Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital.
George also spent part of this time working for an American based medical insurance based company in New Zealand developing primary care networks.
Over the past nine years George has been CEO at Al Ain Hospital in which VAMED held a management services contract with the government hospital system (SEHA) in Abu Dhabi for 5 years. The Hospital achieved JCI accreditation, was designated by SEHA senior management as the best hospital in the SEHA network, won two Arab health awards for quality improvement, had the highest level of Emiratisation of all the SEHA hospitals, was benchmarked as the most efficient and independent government research showed the Hospital to be the highest performing customer focused hospital and outpatient department in the SEHA network.
George is currently Regional Director Middle East for Vamed Management und Service operating out of Abu Dhabi and undertaking business development in the Middle East. Most recently the company has signed a contract to build and manage a 200 bed healthcare centre in Abu Dhabi.
George is co-founder and director of the Tristan Jepson Memorial Foundation.
